The Chambers

The board is elected at the General Meeting which is held every other year. The board is comprises of 18 individuals and the boards chairman who is elected seperately. In addition 19 substitutes are eleceted and they are always summoned to board meetings and have the right to participate in the discussions and to make propositions. In total their are 38 reprasentatives of member companies that have access to the Chambers board meetings.

A long traditions is for holding board meetings on the first Monday of every month, except July and August. Various matters concerning the business community are addressed at board meetings in addition to general policy matters of the Chamber. Reprasentatives of every member are eligable for board membership and the multitude of votes is based on the members membership fee.

The Chambers management board lays down its policy and supervises the Chambers operations and offices. Matters that the Chamber addresses are in most cases debated on whithin the management board, which comprises of the chairman of the board and six other members of the board which the board elects in its first meeting after the General Meeting.
